Eli proudly and loudly grew up in suburban Detroit, Michigan. Though creative at an early age, he spent most of his time playing baseball in the backyard with dad. It wasn’t until 5th grade Hebrew-school choir that he discovered his taste for the stage and the spotlight. Fast forward 8 years, began his acting career at The University of Michigan, where he received a BFA in 2006 from the Musical Theatre program; often noted as the best musical theatre program in the country. While there, he enjoyed being in multiple productions playing various roles in musicals, dramas and Shakespeare…and went to a lot of football games.
Currently living in New York, Eli has been a part of many exciting productions in the city and around the country, including Carmelina at the York Theatre Company (Off-Broadway), Dream a Little Dream; The Nearly True Story of the Mamas and the Papas (Florida Stage), Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Westchester Broadway, u.s. Buddy Holly) (Seven Angels Theatre), Urinetown the Musical, The Mikado (Weston Playhouse, VT), and most recently as the lead in Letters From India, a new musical reading at Urban Stages (Off-Broadway). Eli has also been a part of multiple concerts and benefits in the city. Eli is currently represented by the wonderful agents at Judy Boals Inc., and still hasn’t given up his dream that he might one day become a professional baseball player. |
